Master the art of 2D animation and game development in only one year.
Students begin with the drawing basics tailored to all skill levels. Students learn the necessary techniques for simplified animation, drawing, life drawing and character animation. They will be able to use both traditional and digital animation skills to create short films and Unity driven games for mobile and console platforms.
Students will create a 2D animated short film, playable 2D games on multiple platforms, and an online portfolio. The portfolio will include a demo reel, production stills, as well as life drawing, storyboard and character design elements. Our 2D eMentors will evaluate the portfolios giving valuable technical and artistic feedback to the students.
Students graduate with a Diploma in 2D Gaming and Animation. Graduates may find entry-level positions as a 2D Character Animator, Animation Director, Layout Artist, Background Painter, or Traditional Animator.
Tuition includes a laptop, a large Wacom tablet, and an array of software, giving our students unlimited access to their projects. The software includes an educational license to the Adobe Production Premium Collection which includes Photoshop, Flash, and AfterAffects.
