By encouraging creativity and individuality along with gaining a solid technical foundation, our students are able to give “voice” to their imagery, separating themselves from their contemporaries.
Students learn portraiture, landscapes, and still life. They will also get extensive experience in retouching and special effects, two skills photographers use to enhance and add value to their work. Beginning with the photography basics, tailored as an introduction to their cameras and lenses, students will finish with a printed and online portfolio showcasing their photographic work. Portfolios illustrate work within their chosen areas of expertise, and are a vital first point of contact. Our Photography eMentors will evaluate the portfolios giving valuable technical and artistic feedback to the students.
Career Options:
Students graduate with a Diploma in Digital Photography and are ready for a career as a professional photographer the day they graduate. Graduates will be able to build a business as a Freelance Photographer covering the diverse fields of portraiture, weddings, landscape, studio, fine art, or commercial.
Equipment:
Tuition includes an Apple MacBook Pro and an array of software, giving our students unlimited access to their projects. The software includes educational licenses of Adobe Lightroom and the Adobe Design Standard Collection (Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign). Students keep the laptop at the end of the program.
